It is true that it works so much better on the R56 but props to M7 for coming out with new products. Is the rear diffuser coming to the R53? When are we gonna get to see that thing?!

We will have a better idea of the price shortly . We are waiting on the mold shop to complete their portion of the project. I promise I will let you know as soon as I do .

As with the R-56 version there will be a few different variations . We will have a more affordable aluminum version as the entry level piece and then work up to a complete CF unit.

We have two sets in the hands of R-53 race car owners and we are awaiting their evaluation . I am also contemplating doing it to my car now that I have removed the audio from the rear to fit the paddle shifter box which will allow me to do the battery relocation and straight thru exhaust conversion. No time frame on this at this time however.

Randy, do you have any price points for the different wing options?
Also, if you have pics of the Aluminum one that would be sweet too...
The CF and Fiberglass will probably be identical other than wieght and visual...The Aluminum could look drastically different...
The comparison between composite and metal is what I am curious to see:thumsup:

Sorry about the delay but there are a lot of pieces in this puzzle. I have been told that we should have prices within the next 1 to 2 weeks . We are pushing as fast as we can and I had wished to have one on my car for the upcoming MTTS meet but it was not to happen. Composite shops are a bear to deal with , I think it is the fumes It won't be long now .

Thanks Randy for the update I know how these things go. You guys are at the mercy of the shop and that is something that can just be a headache...

Thanks for understanding the " hostage " situation. As we do not manufacturer in house we are at the beck and call of our suppliers and no matter how often we stand on their desks screaming they still have the upper hand LOL.

The wing will be adjustable to three positions the same way our current wing does.

Yep, it looks like something that you would see on Honda. All you need now is a massive sub to finish things off.

The GP wing is so much better. The Challenge wing is just to big and sorry, ugly and just doesnt flow with the line of the R53.

Just my opinion.

Randy, I'm not pointing fingers it's just my opinion. Sorry but the fact that BMW designed the wing doesnt mean it looks good because it doesnt. Hell, look what the BMW design team did to the trunk of the 5,6 and 7 series cars . The challenge wing is just bad.

I think the GP wing just flows a lot better. Did you ever think of coping that? I would buy one.

I didn't think you were pointing fingers and I totally agree it is a look that you have to really want. Based on the PM's , phone calls and emails there are many that do want it . We had very little to do with the overall shape and it is only the fit and finish that we feel we will be held responsible for .
As for the GP wing we have looked into that and have decided against it at this time . I really like that one but there are a couple of reasons we are not doing one . The biggest minus is that you need to get a hold of GP rear glass and that is both expensive and a pain in the butt to do. Ours will install in about 20 min once you get the stock one off. The second reason is that we are quite sure that this one will actually work better than the GP for those that actual care about that sort of thing. I mean if it didn't why would BMW go to all the trouble to design one for their race series , especially if they had no plans to market them by themselves and thereby recoup some of the costs ? They could have much more easily cobbled up a R-56 version of the GP wing and gone out for tea
In any event I do agree this isn't for everyone , only those that have asked for it

Could there be possibly a smaller version (for those who aren't that extreme)? Still adjustable....smaller price point....
