Bright lights wire????

Which wire in the head light harness is the one to tap into for driving lights? Need the high beams please. Trying to do this today so a fast answer would be appreciated

(I had a post with pictures linked but now I can't find it)

Assuming you have xenons, here's the wiring diagram for the left headlight, which shows a Yellow-Green wire to the high beam downstream from the control module.

If you tap into the right headlight, the wire is Yellow-Blue.

For halogens, the wires are White-Green (left) and White-Blue (right).

Hope this helps!

I know you tried to help, but I don't get this diagram. Where is the yellow-green?

Yes I have Zenons (sport package).

Upon closer examination, I have a green-yellow (which is what I tapped) in the same location as in this post, but no yellow-green. I haven't yet attached the lights so I can't test it yet.

This is gonna bother me all night...

See the wire that says "2.5 GE/GN" running between the control module and the light marked #2 (the high beam) in the diagram?

2.5 is the wire size, GE=yellow, and GN=green. Don't ask me why they use GE as the code for yellow, but they did.

For the right headlamp, the page (which I didn't post) reads "2.5 GE/BL" (in this case, BL=blue).

Hope everything works out for you.

The fastest way to track wires like this is to have a cheap light tester. You can get one from any parts store. Just connect the clamp to a good ground and then plug the probe into one of the wires from the headlights. If the light comes on with the headlights on, that is the normal headlight. Check the other wire, should have no light on the probe. Leave the probe in and flip the high beams on, the probe should light up. That is an easy way to track down light circuits.

Hope it helped

We didn't have a light tester (well, we did, but it was broken and the parts store was closed) so we made an educated guess and lucked out. That said, turns out my car had green-yellow instead of yellow-green, different than the drawing provided above.
