Rear Seat Removal

Rear Seat Removal
Sounds like a really easy question but after spending about 45minutes looking last night I couldnt figure it out - does anyone know how you get the rear seats out in an R56 S? (ie completely out, not just folded down )
Thanks!

Look in the nav/audio forum at the R56 speaker replacement how-to -- it's a sticky at the top of the forum. It gives tips and points to pics showing some of the tricky bits on rear seat removal.

Thank you!

It took me about two and a half hours to swap out the rear 6x9 speakers, thanks to this post, and others on NAM! And that's two and a half hours from start of disassembly to finished reassembling, and with no parts left over (except for a pair of old 6x9 speakers).

I'm still amazed that I could re-use the mounting holes and hardware for the old 6x9 speakers! They didn't do a weird one-off like the front 6.5 inch speakers!

And it's worth it! Polk DB651 in the front, Polk DB691 in the rear. Yeah, I want a little more than 15 watts per channel, but that can (and will have to) wait for a while. Just swapping out the speakers makes a world of difference!
