Ahh they do look good. I oredered mine last monday and am anxiously looking for them. I also ordered the tinting for the rear lights. Should look good together.
I did mine a couple weeks ago....you really can't tell there were reflectors there at all unless you are right up on the car. And it was SUPAR easy.
I know everyone is tinting lights and reflectors for the "looks" but why do this and cut down on the safety of driving on the road with all the crazy people. I want everyone to see me when I'm stopping. The brighter the lights the better. I even hooked up by rear fog lights as brake lights.
The tinted taillights really don't cut down the amount of light by much. Just to be safe I did the fog light mod before I tinted mine, but the brake lights are still very visible.
All of you in the states should stay original on this topic, is security and in all cases you should worried about 3 ton SUV crashing on your MINI on a corner, don´t do unsecure things, some other contries dont worried about this topics.
i guess this thread occured during my vacation from MCO over the summer, as i have never seen them, but think they look great. i can't wait to cover up the rest of the orange on my car.
but lamin-x sells them for 19.99 each! and rspeed has them for for 25 for a set of 4! is lamin-x really selling them for that much more, or is by each, each set or something?
here i go bringin up another dead thread.. anyway, lamin-x is 20 for the set of 4, and they look great in the daylight and still function well at night..
here they are installed (well stuck on), and they virtually disappear:
and here they are with the flash on, showing that they still, in fact, reflect light:
Actually, our protective films aren't stickers per se. Yes, our films are adhesive backed and easy to apply. But the colored films are ~ 16.5 thick mils with hard outer layer - very stong ~ 3500 dpi. The smoked is designed to protect lenses and paint from damage, but also provide a tint function. A great feature is the reversability. Just peel them off later on when you'd like. But they don't come off unless you actually attempt to remove them. Hope this helps clear up any confusion. More information can be found through supporting vendor http://www.rspeed.net
