Laser Blue Exterior Mods

Picked up my Laser Blue w/ White (top, mirrors, bonnet stripes, & wheels) less than 2 weeks ago!

I would just like to see pics of peoples exterior mods on their Laser Blue. Whether you went the blackout route or not just post up some pics of your Laser Blue and maybe give a brief description of what mods you have.

Would also love to see some body kits.

Thanks and Happy Motoring

Tyler

These pictures are my most recent. The mods are as follows...

sport stripes, joey mod, black out, vinyl wrapped mirrors (they are actually white), Konig Feathers, MINI Wings emblem for center caps, AC Real CF sidemarkers, Clear bulbs all the way around (no more egg yolks), Mach V springs, H&R rear sway bar, smoked tails and fogs (light smoke, didnt want trouble from the cops), 3" custom magnaflow catback (check gallery for better pix), DIY Intake, MINI Base rack with Thule Sidearm, and to top it all off, a 2007 Specialized Stumpjumper FSR Comp.

Happy modding, Laser blue is an awesome color... hard to really capture the beauty on camera though.

Did you use AC Fiberglass for your head light trim or vinyl wraps? What did you use for your tail light trim and belt line?

the grille, headlight trim, taillight rings, and gas cap are painted flat black. The trim line i got from outmotoring and the mirrors and doorhandles are Avery vinyl i got from beacon graphics. I did all of the vinyl/paint work myself.

The fog light yellow tint is from lamin-x and the tail light smoke is from ebay.

Ghost - Does the flat black color closely match that of the trim around the wheel wells? Also, to paint all the trim, did you removed it or just mask it out?

its not a perfect match but its definitely very close. I put black wow on the plastic trim so it looks kind of oily which makes it look a little different.... i dont know how the black wow would effect the paint.

Looks awesome Tony! I'm still deciding what I want to do with mine. I too have Laser Blue with black sports stripes, roof and mirrors. My stripes are hood only though, they don't go down the whole front bumper like that. I was thinking of keeping some chrome on mine because I feel like it really accents the blue...but stock is too much. I was thinking of Blacking out the grille, getting real CF door handles and gas cap. I was planning on leaving the headlight rings/tail light rings/side-markers in chrome. What I'm really stuck on is the beltline...not sure if I want to black that out or not.

Both of those sites offer the "sport stripes". You can apply yourself if you feel you can get the straight and centered...or you can have a local body shop do them. I can't see them charging more than $100 or so to do it

Has anyone done tinting to their Laser Blues? If so, have you done the sunroof limo tint as well? What percentages and pics please!

I got the static limo tints from walmart. They do a good job of blocking out the sun, but I did a crappy job of cutting them the right size. The roll was around $12 and it had plently left over after I was done. I figure I give it a try for the summer, and if I like them enough, I would pay to have it done professionaly. The window tints are 15%, I think legal around here is like 20 or 25%.

i did the sport stripes myself. I got them from morristown mini but i would recommend just getting the white vinyl from some sign shop.

Langston, that laser blue vinyl looks spot on!! if i didnt know better, i would have guessed it was painted.

Yeah, you can only get them in white if you get the white roof I believe. I mean, not that you'd particularly want white wheels with a black roof anyways
