Just make sure you overlap the top just a hair over the rubber because when it gets hot (like here in Phx) the tape will shrink a little exposing the chrome...and clean the surface well..and remember to take the top plastic wrap off before you start cause its a biotch to try and do it after....

covering the chrome is pretty straight forward. just go slow and be sure to have it very clean before starting. slow and steady will win this race.

I just blacked out my beltline, and it was quite easy. The only problem I had was taking off the plastic before installing. But I got a trick. I used a butter knife and it worked flawlessly.

It really is as simple as:

1. Apply tape.

2. Remove clear plastic top coat.

Don't forget to remove the top coat - it will start peeling off after a few days if you don't.

A NEW Exacto knife is handy for this job, both for making smooth cuts between chrome peices, as well as for getting a corner of the top coat lifted.

Once it's on, just use Detailers Paradise Nero or any other plastic/vinyl UV protectant to keep the blacked-out beltline looking good.
