Window tint and Warranty

Hello,

I have seen many posts on here about tint but haven't found anything that quite answers my question. Does getting window tint void or do anything to any warranty? I just picked up my car about a week ago and was worried about any issues I might have with getting tints this soon.

I don't see how tinting your windows could possibly void the warranty on any single part of your car, go for it

My dealer wanted me to go through them to tint, so I can't imagine it would.

No, the only way tint could affect your warranty would be if something in your window broke, that they could blame the tint for causing the issue. Other than that, there is nothing else they can say. Even if your tint did break something(very unlikely)...such as excess glue/build-up clogging up a window regulator or something of that nature...your car is still under warranty for any other parts on your car that are not related to damage that window tint could cause. Example: you tint your windows, and your power steering goes out. you would be still covered under warranty.
