I'd have to say that red is over used. Why not try blue? Blue is a common color, but the trend I seem to see currently is red. Pure Silver with some subtle touches of blue would be very appealing to the eyes.

I would like to second that motion. Blue instead of red. Not as much pop but I think you would like it for a longer time.

well color is a preference of choice. Red on silver is not a bad choice same as blue on silver..none of these options will look bad on a car. My suggestion if you do paint the mirror caps door handles and gas cap probably should paint the grill and headlight rings all together and also pick up the one of these.http://www.outmotoring.com/mini-coop...tline-kit.html. But good luck on your decision.

Personally, I think if you do the caps, door handles, and gas cap, the secondary color, be it red or blue, will be overstated (especially on the ds of the car). Think about it, all three of those things are at about the same eye level.

I'd do the mirror caps the brake calipers, and the wheel center caps. That would provide a better overall balance.

Once you see how those mods come out, if you think it's not quite enough eye candy, then add in the door handles.

I have to agree with everyone in here. If you want red, go with red because in the ultimate end, it's your car, and you should do what you want. I'm just throwing out the suggestion of blue to give you ideas for something different. I also agree that you don't want to go overkill on the accent color. Just a few things at a time, then once you get everything to your liking, do the joey mod in that color. Something a little different than black.

Ok.I had a silver/blk '06 Cooper before my current car.I did a lot of scheming
about combinations. The most destinctive I came up with was an orange accent theme.I noticed your still running stock wheels. If it were I,and I was open to the world of lighter wheels, then I would consider a Kosei wheel in orange(tire rack). You could then build around that in both black, orange, possibly even white accents. The wheels can begin it though. The abundance of silver would mellow it out.IMHO.good luck

I really like your idea, but I must agree with the others on blue. What about the blue from the M3? That blue was absolutely stunning...I cannot remember the name of it though...but I am partial to the color

Everybody has great ideas. When I was stationed in England, there was this bloke that had a classic mini that was black, but had orange highlights. He had orange bonnet/boot stripes, orange bumpers and wheel arches, and his mini lites were orange. It looked really good. Again, the decision is yours. My wife has a liquid silver Celica, with green highlights. I didn't care much for it at first, but it does look good. I don't know. I'm just tired of seeing rims with a red lip and red accents. I see too many cars like this. I'm not knocking anybody with this scheme, I just want to see something different. That blue bimmer that was posted is nice !!!!! That blue is absolutely beautiful.
