Interior/Exterior Break Cleaner vs Sun Visor Lables
Break Cleaner vs Sun Visor Lables
The guys over on a BMW forum claim that they are taking their sun visor lables off by spraying brake cleaner on them. Not leather. They were using goof off, hair dryers, and now this. Anyone ever try the brake cleaner?
I have not used brake cleaner. I can tell you that it is highly caustic and evaporates very quickly. It may be related to goof off or some alcohol based chemicals. (I think there is a name for this 'group' of chemicals, but it escapes me) However, it is very harsh and I wouldn't be using it on my interior.
i believe the word you're looking for is caustic
denatured alcohol is also extremely quick to evaporate. the labels are a pain to get off. I removed the visors from the car, soaked a towel in the alcohol, layed it on the visors for 5-10 mins, and then rubbed the rest of the labels off using the said towel.
YMMV
