Interior/Exterior Sport seat stains

I've got the grey with black trim sport seats, and for some reason, water actually leaves visible stains on the seats? They come out with a simple fabric cleaner, but c'mon, water?! What kind of crap is this?
P.S. I have tried Scotch Guard to prevent it, but no dice
