my 2005 mini cooper has had some ware and tear on the black plastic parts surrounding the trunk of the car. does anyone know how to get those scartches out of the black plastic?

 

try rubbing a black grease pencil called a china marker into the scratch, then buff it out with a towel. This minimizes the appearance of the scratch a lot but does not of course actually remove the scratch. I had all sorts of scratches/scuffs on the backs of my front seats....the above made a big difference
