Does any1 know if a recaro srd will fit on stock brackets?

 

I don't know about the brackets, but the MINI seats have airbags in them. I don't believe there are compatible Recaro seats. So, there would be a safety issue with switching. Not sure if there are legal issues, or not.

 

no. I don't believe side impact airbags and mandated. if there are legal issues, it's interesting my dealer deprogrammed my car to accomodate my Recaro's. No waiver.

 

i dont think side airbags are federally mandated but i really wouldnt want to not have them. Too bad they dont make seats that do accommodate them.

 

GP's didn't get Recaro seats because the passenger seat "weight" sensor is mandated, and the Recaro seats used in Euro Minis didn't have it.
