How to remove trim ring on steering wheel?

I have an '07 MCS w/ chrome interior. The trim ring on the steering wheel doesn't come with chrome. How do I remove this ring for chrome plating?

Wheel center trim ring removal

Well - guess I'll just have to get out the ole butter knife and try to pry it up. I agree, with the interior chrome trim it looks super cheapo to not have chrome trim on the steering wheel. Will let you know (just hope I don't set off the airbag...) Aloha, Ali Bairos
