>>I'd like to see a fiberglass shell for the hood similar to what PIAA has done in classic Minis, available for the new MINI. Also has anyone gone the Monte Carlo route and placed a single spotlight on the roof?

The lights are mounted on stock MINI ralley light mounts, so I just orderd the mounts from the dealer, so there is no real light bar/ Just tied the 2nd pair of lights into the existing harness and np problems thus far blowing the in line fuse. Pretty easy install, just take your time

Looks cool, but unfortunately, those would last about 2.3 seconds before someone crushed them while parallel parking in the city...

I will look at it tonight. Am thinking of a custom aluminum light bar tied into the sub frame bumper behind, but will need to look at it closely to make sure it can be done tastefully. Should not be that big a deal, aside from getting the piece welded up, which just take a little time ....................

I will be getting these as soon as I save up a bit I want the four peice set from newminisport.. I think I'd rather have the lights on the MIDDLE grill, jsut below the hood if I can. i haven't looked behind there but a light bar that just uses the grill should work ok there...

JIGSTER ... another question? where'd you get your bonnet stripes? can you get them in white?

chollomo, the stripes I did myself, honestly.............. I went to West Marine, which is a boat supplier, bought 3 different strip widths and played with it until I liked it. SO, if you goof, you just redo it. Trick is, to measure everything to make sure it is all equal, AND to use a very, very mild soap / water solution to be able to move it around while you line it up. Then use a soft rubber hand squeegee to get it to stick down, pat dry carefully, and let it dry for 24 hrs to be sure. Simple really and cost me maybe 50.00 in strip material + my time. Sure beats the cost of dealer bonnet stripes, and you can do what you want !! White is available, and if you cant find it, look in the yellow pages for a vinyl graphics place locally, OR order on line. Go for it and get creative !
