It was a 1000 painted from classic? I talked to classic a while back and they said 1000 primed. Roadshow told me few months ago 1800 - discount for painted. Not like it matters though becuase my MA said they aren't painting them now, and there are only 42 at the US distributors left (well 41 since I got mine today).

Love the aero kit. We'll see if that changes come winter.

Call your MA. It's on sale now and might not be around after winter!

I am thiking about buying the kit for my car, but I already have the side skirts. I contacted Classic and they said it is cheaper to buy the factory painted full kit then part it out. So, is anyone in San Diego interested in some Pepper White Side skirts? I would ask that we split shipping costs. I would pay 60% of it and you woudl pay 30%. Only problem is shipping is $312.00.

Again, this is a feeler to see if it will be worth it. Plus, I don't know how much to ask for the side skirts.

fyi Morristown MINI has Aero kits for the Hardtop MINI and MINI Cooper at prices less than Classic! Sadly no killer deals on Convert Kits, which bums me out...

I spoke with the parts department at Towne 5min after leaving the dealership and the guy didn't have a clue what I was talking about. He said he knew "nothing about special pricing on MINI accessories." So I called up the Towne MINI sales department and ordered it through them. FYI, I paid significantly less for a HB kit (factory painted) than what Classic quoted you.

I was thinking the same thing, I'd love to hear how much "significantly less" is from the deal I think I made. I paid $1000.00 plus shipping for a factory painted aero kit. From the research I did, It looked like a "GREAT" deal (still think it is). Morristown's deal for $995.00 for a primered aero kit made my deal seem pretty darn good. I hope you will let us in on the info so your NAM brotheren can save some cash . . Morristowns deal for the PDC areo kit ($495.00) is a "VERY" good deal indeed except I didn't want to go thru the hassle (to me) to paint the parts.

i ended up ordering from morristowne. They matched roadshows 625 for a primed kit. If they had any instock, i would have it by tomorrow night, unfortunatly, i will probably ahve to wait until next week before i can get it picked up and brought to me.

Hey jay-you go to batavia in june by any chance? i was there in june, but missed the sept event. Hope to make it there next year. (you know stu by anychance, you would know who i mean, if you know him). Oh, and pm me what you paid threw the sales dept. Or just post if you want. The guy on the phone there didnt seem to bright, but the guy i had delt with prior was really good, and i bet he could have got the price. but hey, you mess with the bull, you get the horn. hahahah. So i ordered from morristown instead.

"significantly less" means it's great to have a local dealer where you can hang out from time to time and get to know the parts and service people. It's a great thing when it comes to situations like these. The problem is going public with info can get people in trouble and get you cut off. Not worth it in my book.
Now the prices being quoted are indeed very good prices. But there are better ones out there. They are not giving these away. There is still a margin to play with.

Understood ! Sounds more like someone hangin at the back door LOL. Oh well, I guess the questions were bound to fly when someone starts posting those two little words "significantly less". I suppose there will always be a better Bro deal some where.

Is $600-700 a fair price to paint the whole kit? That's the estimate a guy in my car club gave for his shop to paint it. I was told they do top notch work.

Thats the same price the shop I use quoted me when I asked. While these are primered they still do need some prep for proper painting. Materials alone run about $250. Mini doesn't use inexpensive paint.
