After seeing pictures of Mini's with auxiliary driving lights, I decided that I would like to have some. I looked around and it seemed like I would have to spend around $400 for two lights?!?! For that sort of money I can get 6 auxiliary lights on my Land Rover. So, I was thinking, couldn't I just buy the brackets from Mini USA and add different (cheaper) lights? Also is it possible to add 4 lights to the front?

yes, but the MCO brackets & harness & switch & cheaper lights = $400 or more (
good luck.

Hella and PIAA are good alternatives - still did not get mine (

go to search and look for driving lights or rally lights.

The brackets run about $40 from Classic Mini. You can also get a harness from them for around $120, unless your experienced enough to make your own. A good set of lights can be found for around $100 (there's cheaper ones out there though.

If you're doing just 2 lights they can easily be wired in directly to the high beams. I would run a separate system if you're going to use 4.

If you do a 4 light setup, be careful how you wire them up. You can find yourself with a nice ticket using all the lights at once in the wrong place.

Not cheap, but another solution and they have a 4 light option:
http://www.mossmini.com/Shop/ViewPro...eIndexID=34609
For about the same money as the dealer option you can get 4 lights instead of 2.
Has anyone tried this product? How easy is it to install?
