A lot of people use the same paint that is used on the exterior of ours cars. If you do this, then just go to your nearest NAPA(or other auto paint store) and ask for the amount that you need in what ever code you chose. This should work well and after you paint it most spray a coat or more of clear to protect it.

Try this place for the paint.
http://www.expresspaint.com/
They can fill some spray cans for you that way you don't need a compressor or paint gun. You'll need primer, base coat and clear coat.
Down tubes can't be that tough. Did you look and see the screws? Drivers side, pull down on the panel under the steering wheel. That will expose the upper screw. Take out both screws, then wiggle out the tube. BTW, I've never done it, but got close with another install and noticed it couldn't be that tough)

Try here:

Downtubes:

I thought they used to have door bar install instructions also, but this is all I could find:

BTW, if you decide to go leather instead of paint, these guys have great stuff...

Good luck,
Ed
