Hi all,

My build date is 7/18. It is apparently not too late to make changes for my advisor because I just changed the color. I am currently down for black leatherete and anthracite. I thought I go with the vinyl for better longevity, and the anthracite I thought went better with my previous color choice, IB. Now the car is pure silver, and thinking space cloth with the silver trim.

If owners with more than 20,000 miles on their cars give me some feedback on what's holding up well and what apparently is not, it would be appreciated. The alloy patina finish was already peeling off the door of the demo I drove, so I am staying away from that. The wife hates vinyl(and thinks we ordered space cloth !!) but it just seems like it would show less wear down the road. Again any comments would be appreciated .....

Thanks

People refer to my leatherette as leather all the time. I've just stopped correcting them. It's much, much nicer than the vinyl that you typically see in car interiors, which I wouldn't stand for, either. I've only had my car for eight months, but it's holding up great. Still looks brand new, and it's very easy to clean.

The one drawback that I've found with the leatherette is that if you have a very large person in your passenger seat and they slide the seat all the way back against the bench, the leatherette rubbing on itself squeaks a bit. No biggie.

19,000 miles here - close enough , I suppose.

Profile leather - no problems.

Silver trim, no problem outside of a tiny flake or two the nicked off on the steering wheel. Just had the car washed and waxed, vacuumed inside, looks like it's new.
