i like to drive at night with my interior lights off and put the DRL on. i think with the interior lights off. it seems so much cool and i can see the road better. the drl has all the things you need(mph, gas and radio) but no rpm.

If it bugs you then flip your mirror the other way. Go to the dimmed position, grab the mirror and adjust to daytime view, then flip your mirror to dimmed position again. Now you'll see your seats instead of the lights.
