L.Mini,
Please let me know if you find a good shop in the DC area to put those stripes on for you. I want to do the same thing to my DS/DS.

Actually today I made an appointment with Speeddesign in White Marsh to have them installed next Monday. I had gotten a quote from them before and they had said something like $100 or less....I can't find anyplace else that will do it cheaper or that I can trust. Speeddesign is REALLY good at what they do. It's a little bit of a hike from DC, but you could go right up 95....it's just off the highway I think. I can let you know how it goes and how much they charge exactly if you are interested.

L--I'm diggin' the tints...I haven't done stripes or flags yet, I like the all black look. These taillight tints might be the way to go, though...complete the all-black look. I had been thinking about Alteza-style clear lights, but I just can't get into them...

By the way, I just moved to NoVA myself (Courthouse/Arlington). I see that you spend some time down here, I'll keep an eye out for you guys motoring around!

If I were you I would go with the tints. I think it would look really sharp with an all black MINI.

TJ and I are arranging a drive in Alexandria later this summer....we are posting it on a bunch of boards. It will be a drive and a picnic at the end. I will keep you posted if you want to join in!

Been thinking about getting those for Wanda ever since I saw them on Koolmini's S at the Dragon Tail Run! So sharp and don't you think they'd look great on my all-Jet Black S? Ooooooooh!

Cheers!

>>I finally did it! I kinda messed up the right hand side and eventually would like to redo it, but as you can see from the pics....it's not noticeable. I love it! Thanks so much to Nobull for the pictorial and everything.... How long did it take you to install them??

Cheers & Motor on!

It took a little bit for me to get the film situated the way I wanted it...and I found that it helps if it's hot and sunny out.
I got the film from Lamin-X and it actually comes with instructions. They actually have the film on special right now so it's even less expensive. (Unless that has changed since I ordered.) All you really need is a spray bottle with mild soapy water in it and a card to flatten the tint out. I have some leftover bubbles, but they are decreasing as the days go on.

How's this? Changing a car to black... although it may sound easy... Is probably one of the most difficult color changes to make in photoshop! (at least it was in this instance! ) What do you think??

Cheers & Motor on!
