Here are some first photos of the long awaited Cooper hitch. This is of the prototype and is unpainted. I should have an idea on pricing by mid week. This takes a standard receiver and you will be able to mount a bike rack or cargo carrier to it as well as pull a trailer up to 1400#. It does not mount like ANY other hitch currently available in the US. It mounts as the factory hitch at several chassis points. It is definitely HD!






Install is simple and straight forward. You can do the job in about 1 hour with regular handtools. You will still retain the spare tire under the car. Interested Cooper owners can email me.

Just signed on to MCO but have had my cooper since April '03. My dealer found a trailer hitch online or I should say a picture of one that was welded to the chassis,rather substantial, from somewhere in california when I was ordering my cooper to show me that it was possible and though not Mini-recomended would not blow the warranty. OK to make a long story a bit longer he did not remember where he pulled it up from. Is it you? I am interested. How HD is HD? This a long time since your post but I would appreciate a post if you get this.
