Color Match Paint

I'd like to paint my side markers to match body color. Anyone know where I can get a can of spray to match body color? Or should I try going to a local auto store and see if they have any matching colors?

Go to NAPA they can color match any paint, they will have to look your mini up under BMW just so that they do not tell you they do not sell it.

Keep us informed on how this project goes. Sounds very interesting.

in Canada we have a hard time getting colour matched paint. MINI CAN will not release the paint code very easily.

Good Luck

As long as you know your paint code, you can go to any local paint shop and have them mix you up an aerosal can...just in case you don't live near a NAPA. Around here, a standard can runs about 15 dollars.

I've got a local NAPA near by so I'll try them out. I forgot the paint code to Pure Silver. Anybody know it offhand?

A recommended supplier

Pure Silver color code is 900 ('o2 thru '07)
{if you go to http://www.sherwin-automotive.com/ and use the afvanced seach under Formula Express ... enter MINI and a year and get a complete color code table including trim <roof> colors.... [they don't paste or link well tho]}

These guys will set you up with a rattle can of color

http://www.automotivetouchup.com/spray_paint.asp

note - this is 'base'; you need to clear coat it too; available from same supplier

(I've used this source several times with great color match and overall satisfaction)

and don't forget the appropriate primer underneath.....

{have you experience with base/clear systems????}

Just finished painting some interior bits, and the color is spot on. No need for additional clearcoat, either.
Buy from NAM vendors, they keep this place running. And Pete is one heck of a nice guy, as well!
