Interesting discussion here. As a Cooper owner, I have to say there aren't too many "go fast" mods that make sense financially. It would be smarter to buy an S if going fast is your main goal. So most of my mods are of the aesthetic type. Yet as I compare my Cooper to others I think I qualify as a member of the Mod Squad. Yes, I have some stickers and other small stuff listed there. But it all contributes to the total package and the "youification."

Now that's what I'm talking about. You even list your mods listed in a professional-graphics style(or what ever you want to call it) Looks like a very nice car. Gotta love the vert's.

(Stands up and claps)

Let's see what the officers have to say.

We don't vote on each MINI listed, just point out those that we think don't cut it yet.

I actually got the idea to make that card from Blimey, my Mod Squad inspirational leader. That was the card I used at the MOTD car show. I had to make sure my wife didn't see it because until I took the time to list everything I had NO IDEA how much I had done (or how much money I had spent). If I had an S I would likely be single again!

Yeah, my wife found mine. As I take items off the wish list, they go on the mods list with prices(stupid move), on another sheet in excel. Well, thankfully she's very lenient in what I do, as mine about as much as the car. I'm sure if everyone tallied theirs up, mine would pale in comparison

P.S. Actually, I have get out of jail free card with the wife. The deal was I give up motorcycles as long as the kids are in school, and I get to do whatever I want, within reason, with cars. It's all about the negotiation

Some of the things that are listed on MINI's WOW !

I will have to sit down and look at notes to list everything on mine. So a easy 15 for starters.

Where have you been hiding?

I have cooked a few things up in the oven I will list them later and you might go "hmmm"

What have you got, give it up.

Oh for those that read my 15 starter list I misspelled scoop

I think Gnat and I interpret "Mad Moddn" as an exercise in excessive engineering...creative aesthetic expression is all good but does not fit in this catagory...

That's how I always saw it too....not just having a long list of bolt-ons from vendors and cute vinyl additions, but having mods that took innovative and imaginative work and "excessive engineering" as msfit said That's the truly impressive "modding" IMO

Well, the cool thing is we all get to do what makes us happy. I find it interesting to note the that most impressive mods (to me at least) on the R56 that won "best of show" at MOTD were aesthetic and sound-related (the custom blue interior and the stereo).

... and while I absolutely acknowledge Nate and Sid as the Mac Daddies of the category given their own interpretation of what it means (), I think it's at least noteworthy that this thread was started by ChiliPepperJet, who is a member of the Aesthetic Expression Mad Modder tribe.

Speak for yourself ohh disappearing one... (the lol icon shows this to a friendly barb)

Over the top creative expression is as much are part of "Mad Moddn" as is excessive engineering. Whilst I may not personally like some of the over the top graphics or lighting work, ImagoX's departed Hot Orange glowing light special comes to mind here, I still respect the amount of creativity and work involved.

There is a place at the table for all of us..
