Took me a while... in fact, took a lot longer than I expected. Took me a month to find a good installer at a good price. Then their shop was being renevated for a few weeks and there were no Saturday appts available. Then I had to go on that two week business trip to Illinois. Then my appt got cancelled due to the installer's wife's work schedule. So... finally today was the day.

Looks great!

minjae-there's perforated vinyl. Looks close to normal outside, and you don't see any colors inside-looks kinda like it's tinted. www.cooperflags.com has a gallery with some pictures.

I've always wanted this for my mini, does anyone think that the checker board roof and mirror caps goes good with british racing green?

Well based on the hardness and extension of the shadow on the ground you can see that in the "before" picture there was some cloud cover. In the after pic, the sun has moved more over-head and has stronger direct sunlight resulting in a crisper shadow--not one with soft edges, so that would give that impression of being more sparkly. But regardless of the difference, I'm not doubting that Hydro didn't improve the look either!

As for the checkerboard roof--I love it! I'm not certain it works well on the gas door lid, but that's just my 2 cents. I really like the roof!

Very nice! I don't think I would have tried it on mine, but now that I see yours it gives me something to think about...

Now, if you could just do somethin' about that license plate...

Thanks for recommending Speed Design for the job ! I mentioned to John that you recommended him and he remembers you well and enjoys your company while he's working on your MINI.

Yeah, I'm having thought of removing the gas cap decal. I have some checkered door handles to install and when I get those, I think the gas cap definitely will go.

Thanks ! Garage floor is courtesy of Bigfoot Floor Tiles. It not only looks great, it's easy to maintain. I just run the shop vac over it and then hit it with a damp mop. Presto!

I think it looks really good with the mirrors, but I would ditch the pattern on the gas-lid. It looks out-of-place to me...
