Interior/Exterior Aero Grille Conversion Project
Aero Grille Conversion Project
Aero Grille Conversion Project
This is a great project.
I've got my aero grille, dremmel with cutting wheels and 1/8" drill bit, grip clamps to cut the grille in steady fashion, 8mm and 10mm hex and Torx 30 driver for removing the bumper, flat head driver and needle nose pliers for removing the bonnet grille, goo gone for the middle grille slat, engine blanket, gorilla glue, ruler, masking tape, and about 12 different methods to make this work.
My question is this...
What is the best way to black out the body color undersurface (bonnet and bumper) for longevity (avoiding paint chips, peeling, melting, etc)
a)paint it
b)high temp paint it
c)vinyl tape it
d)spray on bed liner
e)other
I appreciate the wisdom of those who have come before!

Has used the Wally world bedliner that you brush or roll on. After about 4 coats it looks good, and epecially the wheel wells. Makes the car a bit quieter from road noise, especially if you have to do alot of Interstate miles.
