The fender pieces come from the dealer, ie damaged my front passenger side piece located on the hood section was $21 only from the dealer to replace but $100 to paint. My pic of mine shows just the stock side skirts with the front Aero bumper only. Here's another pic to save you scrolling back.

They seem to match very well Thanks.

I don' t quite understand... is'nt your plastic trim black? It would look just like that, but shiny.

Kind of defeats the purpose because the trim is alreadly black. I can understand if it's a custom paint job all around.

well it is black. I just think it would look better if it was sanded down and painted black rather than almost faded black with the non smooth surface. I was just hoping someone had a pic. I noticed stoopidgirl did it on her pink mini and it looks great.

I started this thread and received some great input. My decision to do it was made for me when an out of control bike hit the side of my car. I figured as long as I'm having work done, let's just do it. The hard part was talking my wife into painting "perfectly good arches". The cost wound up being about $1100, but I love the look.

I assume that price included the 6 new arch pieces?

Yep... people have done that. Looks very sharp on the darker blues and dark silver. Go to www.metroplexmini.org and look for photos posted by MINI_golfer. Sweet ride!

I just stumbled across a pic from MINIgolfer!

He has done more black-out work since this shot, but this will give you a good idea of what black painted arches look like.

Unfortunately, that price didn't include new arches so when the light hits the arches just right you can see the dimples where the clips attach that result from pulling the arches off. Not noticable unless your looking for it or I point it out.

I also have to give a vote for painted arches and trim:

It isn't what I'd want for my daily driver (I'm secure, but I don't know if I'll ever be that secure ), but it's very nicely done.

I had mine done at a high-end restoration shop (Ferrari, Lambo, Bentley + custom design restorations) - $1,500 for just the paint and painting labor... I did the install myself.

Any possibility of seeing more pics of this MCS? Im thinking pf painting the flares and this car has the same wheels that I have.

Thanks in advance!

Anyone seen a BRG Mini with painted arches and sills? I'm definitely inspired by the pics I've seen here, but I dunno if it would make a huge diff on BRG.

I don't have any pics of it but have seen a BRG with the painted arches, and looks good. I think all the colors look good with them painted, even black, which at first thought might not show up as much..

Rough cost:
$1050 Areo Kit
Paint all and install $1200

These are from my '03 MCS, including mirror caps, and I think you'll find the look satisfactory.

For what ever the reason I can't post pictures of my '06 JCW MCS but it looks, except for the wheels,
exactly the same and in my opinion every bit as good.

Hope this helps...

Sure... I can help with that. That's my baby!

I've since removed the center sections from the webspokes and had them powdercoated to a greyish metalic bronze/brown. I was hoping to make the cream in the paint pop a bit more by removing the pure silver tint in the wheels and I'm loving the results. The mods are listed in my NAM 'garage' (https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...&vehicle_id=74). Pics for you:
