Interior/Exterior Glove Box Retrofit

2001, 2002 cooper S's in Australia were not fitted with a glove box, only the two shelves, drivers & passenger side. I wanted the glove box which is fitted to the 2003 models. I purchased the glove Box complete.
My question, before I start pulling plastic apart, is has anyone retrofitted the glove box and can give me an idea of how to do it. Don't want to re-invent the wheel.
