My wife loves my GLI seats and wishes her MINI had something similar. I found these VW OEM Recaros for sale today and was wondering if anybody knew if it could be adapted to a MINI:

Probably need rails and sliders, but I think they should work. Hell for that matter you can probably find a local welder to make some custom adapter brackets. A buddy of mine did this to fit some Mk2 Recaros in his Mk3 GTI. Good luck

 

the common problem with most OEM VW recaro's is that the base is not a normal recaro base. You woudl most likely have to have a custom base welded up to the recaro seat..

 

Yeah, I pulled my GLI seat out yesterday and did a comparison. The brackets are a lot different than the MINIs. Plus i realized that those seats don't go forward all the way so if I did do this it would have to be for some that go into a GTI
