More Kevlar Belt Options!

ECS Red Kevlar accessory Belts are both an aesthetic improvement and a performance alternative to a traditional belt.

ECS Tuning Performance Kevlar reinforced belts give you that extra piece of mind! Kevlar reinforced belts experience less elongation over time minimizing the amount of belt adjustment needed as well as offering a higher shock and impact resistance compared to OEM style belts.

Thanks for the headsup here!

I ordered the Turner reservoir after I saw your post, but got it from their site since it was on sale for $212, but did click your link many times going back 'n forth while I was debating about purchase so hopefully that counts for something if the company monitors such stuff.

I am also interested in the kevlar belt, but still a bit iffy as I've read various reports of the Gates RPM belt snapping...

https://www.hellcat.org/threads/new-...s-stock.81625/

...and I've already suffered one catastrophic drivebelt failure and don't want to revisit that scenario again, so I'm a bit paranoid about trying out a new contender.

I was running a Conti when it broke and for some reason had allegiance to that brand before the breakage, but since then I've gone with a green Gates HD belt and it has been performing very very well.

However,
those are known to be stretchy and better performance might be had with kevlar, so I could be persuaded to trial the red ECS belt with a little more information --- my main concern is that kevlar doesn't seem to like high tension and will snap instead of stretch...

...speaking of stretch,
here's a Gates HD on a Camaro:

I'd love to see a similar underhood video of the R53 belt system in action at extreme loads.

Hello,

No issues with the belts and yes sometimes Turner site might have a sale on Turner Stuff, rare but happens. Most of the time its the same sale and price.

I think Gates had some production issues as they dropped some of their belts from the line. Also those belts for the high load/high horsepower engines do put down some torque/loads. Maybe it has to flex more for those multi pulley systems for the hellcat.

The factory belts with MINI on the supercharged engines seems to be two things, wear on the belt and slippage due to tensioner wear or some aftermarket pulleys/modifications that don't play well together. I don't know exactly what went with yours, but i know these have been good so far.

If you do install let us know as I like to see honest feedback.

Thanks,
yeah I was wondering why many of the RPM belts got discontinued, and I also agree with your assessment that a Hellcat is a very different beast from the R53 as far as extreme load etc goes!

About due for a new belt so think I'll buy one of y'alls redboys and see how it does, for JCW fitment 6PK1374 and y'all got it on sale right now at $22.46 so that's quite attractive, will post up my experience with it down the road.

...had to throw in a few oil filters so I could get free shipping!
