Question in regards to the 3M carbon fiber film.
I have a roll of this Di-noc film. If I wrap a lip or a very hard curve I notice that it tends to peal off or bubble from the very hard curve. I have used a special hot gun to help the material wrap around corners better but it still comes up over time. I know the heat here in Florida is killer and that what seems to cause the film to stretch and bubble. IS there a special adhesive I can spray on or am I doing something wrong?
Available in black carbon fiber (shown), white carbon, silver carbon, brushed aluminum, satin black, Chili red, Laser blue, Pepper white, British Racing Green, Liquid yellow, Lightning blue, and more.
If only there was a red carbon look haha but still.. I dropped you an e-mail about doin one of the black or silver carbons for maaaa new iphone 4 and a beltline blackout
Thanks. I will google that to see if I can find it around. Do you know were to get it other then googling?
just wondering what you found. i googled "3m primer 94" & the smallest amount i found that i didn't have to purchase in bulk was 1/2 pint. i'm not too sure if i need the whole thing. i was just going to wrap the dash pieces.
Yes, durability is not as great as the black. I have some white carbon on the exterior of my R53 and it seems to be holding up great.
A pain to keep clean tho.
All of our pricing can be found on our website. Some R53 CF pricing is not up though.
Belt line kits run $60, A-pillars are $80 ($100 core), grille surrounds - $120 ($100 core)
Amazing work! I checked out your website, but couldn't find the following info (may be there but I have a netbook, and it doesn't always scroll down to the bottom of all pages; resolution restrictions)...If I wanted something wrapped, do I have to send you the part, or is it classic Point of sale, where I order and you ship a wrapped part?
One more question...how do you care for this stuff? Can you wash exterior parts like the rest of your car, or does it require special cleaning? For interior parts, can you use armor-all type products on it, or do you just dust it off?
