Newsworthy

I started this thread to find out what it is that you want to find out about us...

Tell me what product you think would make a good giveaway for next month's CSpeed giveaway.

Or tell us what product you want to hear more about or receive a 'member's only' price for.

Or tell us what we don't have that you want.

Or send us pictures you want see on our site or in our newsletter.

Tell us what is newsworthy to you!

You don't have to sign up to participate in this discussion, but if you want to receive email from CSpeed then just add your email on our home page. The first giveaway will be our new Platypus, on Jan 30th.

I don't think the giveaway needs to be a universal part... If someone won a part that wasn't compatible with their Mini then we could work out a credit for something else.

The adjustable shifter is one of my favorites, but what do you like about it? Anything you don't like?

i like the craven speed short shifter because you can change the length in a matter of seconds instead of taking 30min to tear your car apart and change it like many other short shifters. the bad is the price, i cant validate spending that much money on a short shifter, thats why when i hear of getting it for free i thought i might as well through it out there.

FREE!!!!!!!

I would love to win anything. All great products, at the best price...FREE! But seriously, i would really like to have the SC pulley. I mean, who wouldn't? More power from the get go and i'm sure its made to the highest quality, like the CAI.

Mintendo, thanks for the reduction pulley love, that ROTCAI is under appreciated, but I never get any complaints. Either of those would be a good choice for the giveaway too. Did you see the pic of your engine bay up on the product page?

eg0911, you are not alone feeling like the shifter is priced too high. I'm not sure we can lower it without having it all made in China instead of in our own facility. As you can guess, we are not interested in doing that, but I am interested to hear what you think would be a more reasonable price though.

Anyone care to share what they think our adjustable shifter is worth to them?

Short shift kit

I would love the short shift kit. I think it is the best on the market and from all the reviews the linkage has less play than the stock shifter. Would pair with my Whalen shift machine wonderfully.

Yeah, it looks good!(not to toot my own horn or anything) Hopefully with a visual aid of the optional "ram air" it will give people a new out look on the ROTCAI. Thats why i went with it. Its innovative, and there is nothing else like it on the market.

+1 for the ROTCAI giveaway!

+1 for the sc pulley Also, I for one am proud to see a manufacturer that is not interested in "having it done in china". +1 for that too!

Products: Everything on your site(R56 anyway) seems to be nitch driven; this is not a bad thing. I guess I'm looking for something to wow me.

Web Site: Very well put together. It's one of the best Mini Vendor sites!

Want to see: With all the R&D can someone please make a shift **** for the R56 auto that can replace the stock kids 50cent machine football helmet. There has got to be a way!

An automatic shift **** is a great idea. Probably more difficult to manufacture than design. I'm not very familiar with the OEM ****, but "kids 50cent machine football helmet" is pretty descriptive.

Please make the pain of this eye punishing looking shifter go away. I'm thinking black with red button on top (Think Men In Black).

Free?...I like it...How about ANYTHING related to the R56 Non-S Mini. From the stubby antenna to the driving lights, I have had trouble locating affordable, easy to install, mods for my Mini...I know I know, I should have just gone with the 2006 S and everything would have been fine...But knooooooooow, I had to listen to the little woman...My 2006 Yellow convertible S with a black top somehow turned into a 2007 Pure Silver Justa Cooper, black hard top with a sunroof. Go figure. And I don't even LIKE the Raiders!

That's a few votes for the Return of the CAI.

Jammy, is there anything in particular you want to do to your non-S?

what you don't have that I still want (and we've emailed, thank you) is an adapter that will let us put an oil pressure sending unit for a guage into the R56 MCS easily.
Cheers!

Fig- Thanks for the reminder...is this something anyone else here is interested in? We've talked about some ideas, but they need more development.

While oil pressure is nice, I'd prefer a easy to install oil temp sender and gauge.

One piece ought to be able to deliver both results, right? How are R56 and Clubman owners installing oil pressure or temp gauges currently? Tapping into the sender?

We have a Winner!

Using a random sampler a winner was chosen for our first giveaway drawing of the year. This month's winner is a NAM member, Greengobln. He should be receiving his Platypus any day now.

We'll be having another drawing at the beginning of March! We could still be swayed on the exact item to give away, but we were thinking that the Contour Lever might be a good one since it fits every Mini.

Everyone on our newsletter subscriber list is eligible to win every month. Even if you don't win, you'll still get one or two special discounts in your inbox each month. You can sign up by just typing your email address into the box on our homepage. Make sure you add support@cravenspeed.com to your email address list since we can only contact winners via email.

One of the first mods i want to do is a short shifter. I don't like the stock one, I'm used to my Pro 5.0 in my Fbody, so please give away a shifter or at least maybe have some kind of discounted price, around march? please?

Tsar- It sounds like you are not the only one who'd like to see the giveaway feature a shifter. We'll have to put it on the list along with the CAI. Any ideas that don't involve our most expensive items?

Honestly I would prefer a discounted item over a giveaway. Let's face it, the odds are against a single individual in a give away, but if there was a discount for NAM members there's a greater chance that people would buy the product. At least I believe so. With that said, I will be buying a shifter/**** from you guys regardless if you have a discount or not (unless I find something that I believe is a better product). I'm just knew here and optimistic about promotions and give-aways, pardon my excitement.

P.S. I just cant get used to stock "hot knife in a stick of butter" feel of my shifter

Tsar- The good news is that anyone who signs up to get our news will not only be entered in the drawing each month, but will also get special discount offers once or twice a month via email.
