Where are the Houston MINI owners?!
Very nice. I had contemplated getting a brand new MCS but, no matter how hard i tried, I couldn't justify spending that much money on a FWD DD.
Hello all. New owner here from The Woodlands. I bought a Countryman earlier in the year which I have been enjoying but I added a '13 JCW to the garage when the dealership made an offer to could not refuse. I hope to see everyone at the at the next club meeting.

I'll get a few full pics up today. In the meantime, here are a few pics of the work I'm doing cleaning up the paint...

Some random afters:

Here's a 50/50 to show the actual before and after comparison:

This car is all red. I plan to paint the roof black, apply some matte black accents and a black set of 18" wheels. Power plant will get a smaller supercharger pulley, cold air intake and exhaust. Some carbon bits and wrap on the interior then a few advertising bits properly placed on the exterior.
Here is a pic of the customer loaner!!

Forgive me if this has been addressed before, but I couldn't see anywhere....what product did you use, and how is it holding up with that gorgeous lustre it now has?
Thanks,
Mike
Hello there, I could be in depending on my schedule at the time...along with my list of honeydews....I just moved to Montgomery and see quite a few Minis driving along 1488, usually opposite direction to me. I don't get many reciprocal waves though...I suppose it's the 120mph closure rate means you have to have a pretty keen eye and good reflexes to unlock the death grip from the steering wheel and get that flipping of the hand (as opposed to the bird)....
Hey guys, I'm a new Mini Cooper S owner got a 2002 r53 low miles in extremely poor condition. Taking my time to build her up. Really excited about this project and to meet the mini Houstonians! Hope to see more activity in these forums,

Hey guys,
I am new to the MINI experience and eager to meet other owners to go drive with. I have a 2012 Clubman S in Midnight Black. I live in Katy so if you see some fool driving a black Clubman waving frantically to say hi, that's me.

Not much activity here, but we picked up a 2009 MCS on Monday. We didn't know what we were looking to get for my daughter that just got her learner's permit and the mini just jumped out as us..
We also have a 2012 Camaro SS and 2006 Daytona Charger R/T. We live in Katy and are already so attached to the Mini.. heh

i live in cleveland,tx [bout 35mi from woodlands..] just bought a 09 MCS and wondering wth is it so hard to find aftermarket stuff for THIS particular model??? -- or is it just my normal luck and i boughta gimp? albeit...she sure dont run like a gimp..heheheh ...and i cant belive i said yes to an AT over standard but the difference was striking how fast/clever the shifting was! And i cant lie...owning 20+ games that use paddle shift...well...it just flet like home. Hopefully it wont become a curse as i have read on some posts about the 6spd AT...
I have decided to list my Mini on CL. I work in the offshore oil industry, and my company is starting to lay people off. I may be one of the unlucky ones shortly. So here's the listing: http://houston.craigslist.org/cto/5132711440.html
