wonder if this like the MINI folding mirrors for the japanese market or if there is any programing needed for thsi unit......

 

Check out www.newministuff.com they have a module for this, but not available for Cabrios :(

 

My car came with them. I've only used them when I was going through the owners manual. What are they good for?

I already have the electronic folding mirrors with my convenience package, but this site has a module so that they will auto fold your electronic mirrors when you lock the car via your remote ... waaaaaaay cool!

Right now, I just have to press a button to fold my mirrors, which I do every time I park my MINI & when I park it in the garage next to my hubby's big huge SUV.

I sooooo wish I had them folding when I lock the MINI with my remote, but alas I still have to wait for another module since the module offered at www.newministuff.com only works with hardtops
