Maybe I can paint stripes on my MINIvan and make the roof and mirror white and poke a big air scoop in the bonnet...er hood. Pry off the big "H" and put a MINI logo with "S" XLG.

Well I guess it is if you paid that for it.
Here in Cali, 21st Century Auto Insurance has a great newish tv ad showing an IB/W MCS zooming along and running up over a 70s muscle car, then zooming off! The muscle car's windows burst out! It's an awesome commercial! Clover
OMG...I just saw the commercial Clo mentioned!!!! The ad takes clips straight from The Italian Job!!!
It starts out showing actual TIJ footage of Charlie's IB Cooper being chased around in the loading dock by the "bad guy" helicopter. A cutaway of an awestruck bystander watching the scene is flashed in. Charlie makes the famous "escape jump" off the ramp (straight from the film)...gets ripped up the the chopper's tail rotor (also straight from the film)...and then lands on that red camaro/firebird(?)..... which just happens to be this amazed bystander's car. Anyway, Charlie's Cooper speeds off and the guy approaches his car and all the glass suddenly shatters to pieces. We find out that he, fortunately, is covered by 21st Century Insurance.
Apparently the company works CA, AZ, IL, TX, IN, and OH.
There's gotta be a story to this ad. Could there be a MINI owner lurking???
