Got a call to meet w/ some of the honchos at MINI and BMW of Honolulu. Am I in trouble? It's like getting summoned to the Principal's office!

I've talked to AKA about this sort of thing (problem MINIs) at length in the past and my impression is that when there is enough clear evidence that a MINI is having serious trouble there can be a solution for the customer and resolution of the problem facilitated by the dealer.

I hope things go well for you and please do let us know how it turns out. Keeping good documentation is essential and contacting the proper authorities is helpful at addressing this problem. (It happens to all car companies-we just don't like so close to home )

Oh and I don't think you are in "trouble", just a step or two closer to reaching an equitable resolution.
Good luck.

Well it was a painless meeting. Darrel wanted to meet w/ the Service Manager and the After Sales Manager so that we could discuss how to better service the customer. I would be the example and we would go through the process step by step to see where the kinks were. The meeting didn't happen as the SM was ill today.

Maybe I am 1 step closer to getting this car fixed correctly or have it declared a ::do I dare say it:: lemon.
