Jumpstarting a Mini Cooper club on Guam

I noticed Hawaii has a active forum in NAM and I guess a few active clubs. I want to try and do the same here on Guam. I need some ideas on how to get a club going. There are more locals buying and/or planning to buy mini's as they become available on Guam. The locals with mini's seem alot more receptive to the idea of forming a club, compared to the military types who are only here for a short time.

A club for MINIs is a good idea and up to you to decide how formal or informal you want to be.

For more information try posting at-
http://hawaiiminiclub.org/forums/index.php

Our club is formal with bylaws and officers, we collect membership annual dues and have events each month throughout the year.

Some clubs are very informal and meet about once monthly at various locations for social reasons- usually an eating place or coffee shop around town or shopping areas- sometimes the same place sometimes various locations to help make it closer for members. No dues mostly just show up and maybe do potluck events.

An example of this type of club is -

They have about 10-15 members and use the forum for information and discussion and usually meet up for events. Very informal but works for them.

Also we have several military members and they can be active as well.
But as you say they often don't stay that long.
