Mini-T,

I am on the 808-Motoring, but I use my Yahoo ID of Aloha737pilot. I am very familiar with Yahoo groups. With as much use as the MCO forums get, once other Hawaii folks get into the Yahoo Groups format they will use it more. The last company I worked at in the mailand used the yahoo groups forum as a communication tool with the CEO. The CEO actually posted more often than anyone else. MCO Forums are great but in addition we can use the Yahoo 808-Motoring as a Hawaii specific MINI forum. Glad to be a part of it, thanks.

Ken

Senor "Master of the Beast"

I wish more people would pick up on the Yahoo Groups thing, but it seems to be slow right now. I tried to spark something with a poll, but I screwed it up and posted a bad one that I hadn't proofed. The second one was good, and I guess I should have e-mailed MINI-T to eliminate the bad entry. My bad. Anyway, think of the Yahoo board firat when you have some important scoop to pass.

>>Come On all you lurkers out there please sign in on this so that we know you are out there.

Aloha
Howdy and Hello. I'm not a lurker, just stuck in Connecticut where it is 37 degrees this AM and a dusting of snow last night.

Can I be an "Honorary" member of the Aloha group. Please and thank you.

I was on Ohau in the late spring. Had yet to take delivery of my 2003 MCS Electric Blue, sunroofed, leather clad, Slite shod pirelli RF.

Ran into KBESTO and have talked to others on this board.

You are all welcome to ride with me should you find yourself MINIless or pennyless
on the mainland.

Peace and Sunshine

Happy Motoring!

Absolutely no disrespect intended, but it seems rather strange to me that for much of the day the traffic on this site is dominated by folks from Hawaii chatting...I mean, don't you guys (and gals) live on a relatively small ISLAND and can't you see other in person? Or, do you do that too?

Mini to be here eventually. Just moved from Wash D.C. (now live in Makiki) this past summer and waiting for opportune time to ship my Mini. It was supposed to be here on Jan 5th, but had to cancel shipping because the person helping me install a hollow rear sway let it slip off the jack stand causing it to go up through the body and made a bit of a mess. So it looks like it will arrive late March or early summer. As of now it is a 2003 MCS BRG/BRG, madness intake, magnaflow exhaust, hsport hollow rear sway, venom nitrous. I miss it dearly. If you see someone driving around in a 1952 Dodge M-37 (powerwagon) wave because that is my other baby and my only means of transportation until the MCS arrives.

Aloha Everyone!
Brand new to the website, and trying to work my way around.
Moved to the Big Island in November, and became the happy owner of a '04 PW/B MC. Me and Neo hang out in Kamuela mostly, the wet weather keeps Neo pretty dirty most of the time

Aloha Julie!
There are quite a few Mini's running around the Big Island now, and quite a few 'S' versions. I'm in Kailua-Kona, and love the run to Kamuela, when there isn't too much traffic! Keep your eyes open, there are reds, yellows, EBs, Indi blues, a black or 2, but I think you are the first PW! Congratulations.
Jim

I work for the Coast Guard as a computer techno-weenie. I'm a former Air Force Aeropace Propulsion Specialist. (Sounds spiffy doesn't it?) It's another word for glorified jet engine grease monkey. Worked for HPD, Castle & Cooke, Pleasant Holidays, IKON Sacramento, and now I work for former presidential candidate Ross Perot, contracted (sold into salvery) to the Coast Guard. I've done everything from making pizzas at Harpos, to detailing motorcycles at South Seas Honda, to running wires and punching down network wires for entire U.H. buildings. I've also helped in building entire kitchens for various chinese restaurants all over the island as a sheet metal engineer's assistant.

Did I mention that I was the Chief Editor for my high school newspaper and started my first web design/consulting company in 96?

In my spare time I enjoy riding motorcycles and working to develop my chinese association's new web site. www.wongkonghartong.org

I love to play piano (a bit rusty now) and I'm currently learning to play a chinese instrument called the erhu (chinese violin). I love bodyboarding and I paddle in the annual Chinese Dragon Boat races for 2 teams. Why doesn't HMMC enter? I'll coach. The last team I coached won the Military Championships this past August.

I'm a huge music buff with huge eclectic range but my favorites are alternative, modern jazz and RnB(only the good stuff-see detroit, philly, n.y.).

I'm also big into Japanese anime and American animation. Cowboy Bebop and Justice League unlimited are some of my favorite animations. Favorite tv shows include Gilmore Girls, Scrubs, and Top Gear.

I've lived here most of my life but I've lived and travelled all over the world except for Europe, Russia, Africa and Oceania. I love Hawaii for its people, the ocean, beautiful weather, and beautiful friends and family I have here. Nothing beats Hawaii for quality of life. Although you may find me partying in San Fran or Phoenix a few times out of the year.

geez I'm a blow hard huh? ok nuff said.
