The slippers are rubber soled and not plastic.
They are regulation footwear in Hawaii.
Not sure if they are MINI corporation backed or not.
Thanks for the heads up on the possible boycott.

Maybe this upgrade is worth 2 HP more due to better throttle to foot adhesion/comfort???

Hey now...MINI products are not garbage...remember that we did all buy our Coopers from them.

Our battle is not over their products, but their stance towards MCO. It's ok to boycott/petition/etc., but it's contradictive to say that the things that they have produced (or are producing) are garbage.

rfibanez, I truly admire your enthusiasm, but let's not take it out on the folks working at our local MINI dealerships...they may be the very ones who will help us win this uphill battle.

Just my 2 cents....Thanks!

OK so I didnt mean any MINI products are garbage, just pissed at minis actions. I wasn't aware it was a hawaii only product. Yes our battle isnt over their products but if we hurt their sales maybe mini will wake up and see that mini owners are unhappy with what they're doing.

I like minis products, I was gonna go buy some mini shirts but after what happened I will hold off on those purchases.

rfibanez,
Thanks for understanding...I didn't want to offend you since i totally understand where you are coming from. I'll hold off on my purchases, too, if it means being supportive to MCO....

But I gotta say, those slippers (flip flops) will look awesome with my black/silver/white painted toe nails which match my CB/CB MC!!!!

MINIUSA...hurry up and let this issue rest...I want those slippers!

Not only do I support MCO, but our local dealer also. They are all registered members on MCO and post often.
MINI of Hawaii is very supportive to the MINI enthusiast community outside of their walls and MCO is their "virtual" highway.

MINIUSA/BMW stance on MCO is leaving a bad taste in everyone's mouth and will affect everyone....including our awesome local MINI dealer

My friend has these. She doesn't even own a Mini!
Her Dad works at the local BMW dealership and gets a lot of stuff free.

I tell you- in Hawaii these slippers are super common to see.
Very popular (minus the MINI logo and such) style.
So it is not a far reach for people to be interested in them- MINI owners or not.
Ya know-it's kinda hot all year round.

At least those slippers would be less hot than these:

"! Not to make light of quite a serious situation but how slippers/flip flops and possible litigation got all intertwined up just made my night "

I have to agree with erik808.

I know that there are some serious legal issues going on between MINI USA and MCO, but let's remember that MINI of Hawaii does carry many products exclusive to our dealership. We try to get involved and support the MINI enthusiast community any way we can, and remember that the stance of MINI USA and BMW NA don't always reflect the views of its employees.

Thanks MINIhune for bringing the conversation back to slippers.
