Ah...DANGIT!

Of course the first MINI movie/coffee/stuff event is this sunday when the Pro Solo II (Autocross) event is. Doh!

Looks like I'll miss you guys on this one. For anyone else interested in racing Autocross - it's up at Hawaii Raceway Park (Exit 1 off of the H1 and then head towards the ocean - http://www.hawaiiracewaypark.com). Get there at 8 or a little before and bring $20!

Ah, Andy, we'll miss you!

Everybody make sure to avoid Kamehameha Day Parade which I think is that day, enroute to M of H.

I guess the cholesterol bomb is always better tasting on the other side of the ocean. I like Krispy Kremes. In fact, I brought back a few dozen the other week when I returned from Cali.

What?!?! No Krispy Kremes in HI? Oh man, what are Jenna (daughter) and I to do on Saturday mornings now? We make our Saturday morning runs to The Block in Orange just for K.K. Looks like we better get our fill before our move.

You will forget about Krispy Kremes once you have tried "original Hawaiian Malasadas" which come standard with sugar or cinamon coating or filled with creme, haupia or chocolate. I can hear my arteries hardening! This is why I do not live in North Dakota

What is a Dangit? Is that an animal or a food?

Sorry you weren't there but hope you were having fun anyway

Latka- how did it go and which mini did you take this time? How many cars in your class of Pro Solo II? What is it like. Maybe if you write about it, I will be enticed to go. Not sure what class I would be in after doing all those suspension mods. I have only the madness intake so far for performance with a quicksilver exhaust being installed this week.

Ditto with minihune,

Today's showing of the original Italian Job on DVD is much better than my VHS copy...ooops, I mean tape

Again, much mahalo to the crew at MINI of Hawaii and SSS for the movie, treats, and hospitality. Sorry I didn't get a chance to try one of your concoctions, minihune. Maybe next month when we do the movie get together again

Minihune,
When we got to Hawaii, one of the first things on my list was to go to Matsumoto's for shave/shaved ice. And of course I had to have mine with vanilla ice cream & those little sweet red beans. My mouth is drooling right now. The snow cones over here just don't hack it. And unfortunately, the pineapples & papayas are gone too. We did buy a considerable amount of Hawaiian coffee & I still have a lb of real Kona left in the freezer. It it soooo good. Had a Hawaiian type day in St Lou yesterday, trade winds & 70's.
Aloha to all
Lois

minihune,

I agree malasadas are pretty good. Been eating them since I was a kid and like the haupia ones. Speaking of haupia - I am a sucker for haupia cake! My daughter favors K.K. over malasadas though; however, she can eat Matsumoto's S.I. any time of the day, 24/7.

I had to pick-up some stuff at Home Depot right now and low-and-behold there was a Krispy Kreme kiosk at the exit. These "to go" versions are popping-up everywhere now - gas stations, super markets, etc. (these guys are going to spread themselves too thin as the novelty starts wearing off).

Greetings Motorers,

We at the MINI dealership "THANK YOU" for attending the first
MINI Meet event. I think it was a good start. It was really nice
to see familiar faces and to see some new faces.

Thanks to Sylvia for the movie, Brian for the HOT Malasadas,
and the capuccino from Dr. Lau. It was great!

" Have Fun and Safe Motoring"

Kohu'UlaMINI-
I have a few days off-maybe we can get together and exercise my espresso machine some morning. send me PM when you might have time. You can bring your twins.

MiniMa-
Glad you liked the latte-I have many more flavors to try. You had the English Toffee but you have to try other flavors too. Will make arrangements for more tasting sessions in the future. Thanks.

Sorry I changed my mind about going. A friend of mine was helping install the headers in my car. I will go to the next one. So how was it? Where did the old mini finish?
