The only weekend date I'd be able to D.I.Y. in July is Saturday, the 22nd (there is a possibility that I may have to go to a show at DHT theatre that night though). A few members seemed interested in doing a D.I.Y. - still up for it? Maybe we can do a lunch bbq or something like that too. Post up if interested - gotta plan ahead so don't wait to post!

OK, I goofed. I can do the D.I.Y. on July 23rd, Sunday (NOT on Saturday, July 22nd). I do have to go to DHT for a show and it's mid-day on Saturday. Sorry for the mix-up.

 

i'm up for DIY. i would like to a few things on my car. change oil, change spark plugs, change the rotors (ok maybe just check it again). i'm bringing it in (to mini of hi) on wed to have the alternator fixed. i changed my battery cause it died but still having trouble so my bro says i chould bring it in to fix that part. please tell me what i need to buy/bring. thanks!

Kat! Cool, we can do all of your DIY items (oil, spark plugs, rotors - did you get these from JCW04 yet?).
- Oil : need filter, oil, used oil catcher
- Plugs : need plugs
- Maybe change your air filter too?
- Rotors : get rotors from JCW04 (hope he still has them to give to you)

The HMMC July DIY went well. We basically did oil changes for bgrpph, zoegirl87, and grimey. Checked zg87's plugs and they looked good. Installed an RDR CAI on grimey's car. Also troubleshooted grimey's wheel wobble and found that his wheels were missing the hub-centric rings.

Cwlouis provided another memorable HMMC DIY moment (maybe two) - this was one for the record books folks!

DaKineMINI and grimey provided plenty of drinks while grimey, cwlouis, and bgrpph provided donuts, Liliha bakery cream puffs, and Beard Papa cream puffs. We also had plenty of Boston's pizza. In our down time four of us were able to compare (back-to-back) the two famous cream puffs available in Hawaii and we all unanimously felt the light taste of Beard Papa's was better.
