update
It was a long day at Pearl Harbor yesterday. Made a pit stop at the stadium for the swap meet...Got "lost" driving near Diamond Head...it was a fun, exciting day. Today we are headed towards North Shore. This time our sister-in-law will be with us...so no getting lost again! We can't believe how many MINIs we saw...more than we see in our own hometown! So if there's time available, we may rent a MINI on Monday. Wish we could make it to the meeting Sunday but we're headed to the Big Island. At one of the stores, we found a miniature MINI model car with a surf board on top. So long for now...
If you like snorkeling try renting at Snorkel Bobs in Kapahulu near Waikiki then drive to- Hanauma Bay on the East side of Honolulu past Hawaii Kai along the coast or go to the North shore past Haleiwa past Waimea to shark's cove.
It's less crowded early in the day and both places have some different sorts of fish to see.
If you like hiking then try the trail up to the lookout on the top of Diamond Head but go early for best parking and for cooler weather. Takes about one hour and about 645 to 7am is good. View is great of Waikiki and Kapiolani Park areas as well as the ocean off of diamond head.
So you are headed for Big Island on Sunday then back to oahu?
