I'm picking up my MINI in a couple of hours here in Virginia Beach. I was wondering if there's anywhere around here that's particularly fun to go in the thing? Seems like most of the roads are flat, straight and boring in these parts...

and I'm sure you'll get some advice on local fun roads as well as places for great cold beer!!

 

For our first family motoring excursion, we went down Shore Drive to the Beach and then back on the freeway. It was actually pretty nice, especially Shore Drive going over the Lesner bridge and past First Landing State Park.

The hrmini site looks cool, too! Unfortunately, we're moving up north at the end of the month, so we probably won't get too involved with the local MINI (and Mini) folks. Wish I'd found that site before I bought mine, though! I think I got a good deal, but it might have been better going through the "community"!
