Had a fun day installing Akrapovic with Carbon Tips. Thanks to Austin at Vividracing for an awesome deal and quick shipping, also thanks to Matt at Ronin Autowerks for installing. This is my first mod, we did two installs in less than 3 hours on my brother in law's Cooper S and my GP.


Akrapovic sounds little deeper than my stock, it will probably get little louder as time passes. Cooper S and GP exhausts look identical except the tips.

 

Wasn't a long day as the Akrapovic fits so well it's a 20min job.

I have the Akrapovic Exhaust on my GP too and love it.

 

any noticeable weight difference between GP and Akra exhaust?

 

My installer couldn't believe the fit and finish and also commented about it being fit so well. Unfortunately, he took his time, it took him about an hour from the start to finish.

@stiggysaurus I can't tell the difference, but our stock GP was pretty heavy, I am guessing about 40lbs and it's 1 pc about 12' long, had trouble getting it in my SUV. On the other hand, Akrapovic came in several pcs and was able to fit 2 of them in the mini.
