Deposit down for new mini gp, bargain price.

So wrapped, Australia has only 4 mini gp's still available as new from dealerships and I placed a deposit on one finally. So glad that not everyone found value in it as I reckon they are an awesome piece of kit and well worth it. I always wanted one when they first came out but 60k was a little high in price at the time for me. 51k with a couple little extras thrown in, also free servicing for 3 years or 60,000km and 3 year warranty. Thought about the new mini jcw but that will be a little way off, also not a massive fan that it's increased in size, although love the interior.
So three weeks till the fun starts again

Considering I bought a secondhand S which cost $50k new with factory options in 2008 that's a pretty sweet deal. I'm pretty sure MINI's here in OZ are map and not maf otherwise you could have run a JB+ and still kept your warranty(obviously taking it of before going in for a service)

210hp in a car as light as the base model hatch should still be plenty fun to play with. :-)

Great deal on the GP2! Here in the US dealers are offering great lease prices on them, so I think demand must be weaker than BMW expected.

Yeah big difference in prices these days hey.
I'm not sure in regards to map or maf scubbysnacks. I did read through about 80 pages of the jb+ forum today and I couldn't believe that no one, except one person dyno'd before and after to show what the jb+ tune actually achieves. And this dyno wasn't standard prior to the jb+. I had a 2010 jcw previously with the evolve plug and play which I dyno'd before and after and it achieved 50nm of torque through the rev range, it promised to also lift the top end kw but it didn't. It was nice to have, but wasn't crazy power like most of the forum guys make it out to be. So I'm pretty happy to keep the power standard and thrash it through the twisties as it was intended to be driven.
I also keep looking at Porsche Cayman s but it's over twice the price....I want that too lol.

And agreed, also week sales here in australia. Which is great for me. The new mini's are selling like hot cakes though.

Hi JackMac, have you lowered your ride height at all? Curios how it feels?

I'm at the standard height. With adjustable coilovers, the ride quality should not suffer when lowering.
