Help tires

So as most of all you GP owners know our tire options are limited

(I like extreme to ultra high performance summer tires
The GP is my DD and I need a higher tread wear than r compounds have)

I currently have 215/40/18 BFGoodrich KDW 2's on...And I need to replace them
Well they've discontinued them in ALL SIZES FOREVER

So next I looked into the "Holy Grail" tire Michelin Pilot Super Sports PSS
Well in sizes 215/40/18 there are few and far between, Special Order Only

Got them shipped to CA, so I should have them mounted early next week!

215 and 225/40/18 are a little tall.
Why not a Michelin PSS in 205/40/18 (stock size)?

If you're sold on 215/40/18, also consider the
Conti ExtremeContact DW (light, comfortable, and great in the rain,
and no slouch in the dry) and the BFG G-Force Sport Comp-2 (heavier,
a little stiffer, good all around UHP tire).

Interesting about the Michelin PSS. I just searched on TireRack and the Michelin Pilot Super Sport 215/40-18 is in stock at $200 per tire and $70 rebate on four tires.

Yes in stock as we speak, but not in the future called 3 different tire shops all told me the same thing

Not wanting the DW's have had them before, DWS's on the MINI in snow actually
Yokohma S-drives, AD08's, BFGoodrich's, Hankook's, etc. etc.

Have tried many different tires just wanting some input from anyone out there who works for a tire shop.

The GP has a weird tire size

DW and DWS are completely different tires.
Former is a max performance summer tire and latter is an all season.
