Why are GP owners selling....
I was going to list it at $27,500. Just can't see selling it for less. The car is like new and still smells new. It is stock with the exception of the honeycomb grille, the JCW front sway bar and JCW Alcantara steering wheel. All were installed at the dealer and are OEM JCW parts. I have the original grille in it's wrapping.
I also have the following:
- Spare OEM MINI GP Wheel. I bought this at the dealer after i bought the car in case anything ever happened to one I wouldn't have to go thru the hassle of the dealer not having it. (I planned on keeping this car forever)
-OEM embroidered GP mats that I bought and only put in a handful of times (rubber MINI-S mats are in there now). The embroidered mats are stored away in the box they came in.
- GP Indoor car cover (pictured) which I put on for that picture and never used it again.
Here's some pics to give you an idea of how it's been kept. The current garage is the one with the black floor & yellow lines(those pics are from a few weeks ago)......

I'm in the Bay Area (Emeryville).
Yeah that was my Z4M. At the time we had that, an Audi RS4 and a Toyota FJ Cruiser (and a motorcycle). Needed to cut back and decided to sell it. That was another one that just sat there next to the GP.

Understand. I will keep you posted. I have a few interested buyers in my M3. I dont mind flying to Bay Area to pick up.
Maybe a strange thing to ask, but would you be willing to include the GP artwork? I really like that.

Let me know and maybe I can meet you half way. As I mentioned before, we do a lot of weekend trips and maybe this would be a good excuse for one.
lol....not a strange request at all.
I paid someone to do that for me. I wanted an "prototype rendering" of my car (with the # on it) and that's what the guy came up with. What you see there in the garage is actually mounted on canvas. Wasn't exactly cheap, but i think I can throw that in. I can also give you the master scan of that which I have on my computer. I even made a t-shirt once with the image!! lol I'll even throw in the GP1152 sweatshirt that I've never worn and this, which as you can see even has the rear wing and the #1152 on it.
Okay, slightly off topic, sorry, but this thread brought it up to me! The acronym learning curve when you first get a Mini Cooper is steep, man, steep! I thought I was getting them ... MCS ... Mini Cooper S. And then people were complaining about a HPFP ... what? Had to google that one. Then people were writing about a CM? CM?? Shouldn't that be MC? Oh, heck, its Clubman Mini? And now GP? Seriously, GP? I read every post in here hoping someone would tip me off what GP was but no, I had to google that one too! ROFL
I swear in another 3 months or so maybe I will have learned them all!

Actually, I think "CM" is usually used to refer to the Countryman, not the Clubman Mini. Although that's an easy mistake to make - the acronyms aren't internally-consistent. When the Clubman first came out, some people were using "MCC" for MINI Cooper Clubman, although "MCC" was already also used for "MINI Cooper Convertible".
And there are new ones all the time...

Mine ain't going to anyone, anywhere soon...except to the shop for a window tint job tomorrow. Bought mine December '09 for sheer fun and pleasure from a deep pockets guy who probly DID get bored with it. Hell he drove up in a Nissan GTR, which even in LA is a rare sight. However I think the GP beats that ride for rarity...even in LA.

Man that is a saweeet room you have for the GP1152! I wish I had a spare garage that I could actually keep my vehicles in that was as clean as that! All my poor toys have to sit out except for the Bikes, as I store them in the enclosed trailer.
But where do you keep all the tools, lol?

If you look at the fist picture you'll see, in the back right, the wall cabinets. Tool cabinets are there below that don't worry.
damn, GP1152, talk about some beautiful garages, as well as goodies for 1152! where did you get all the goodies made? And the GP cover...was that from MINI?
nice collection of bikes as well, I think I spy a Monster (or 2) in the back?

Thanks. The cover is an OEM MINI GP indoor cover. Got it shortly after I bought the car. Not easy to find now I would assume.
If I remember correctly, the glass piece was something I bought from someone here on NAM that was getting some made and asked who else wanted in on it.
You definitely see a Monster in the background. The other bike is actually an MV Agusta Brutale. Don't have it anymore, but still have the Buell Ulysses. Hoping to sell that and get a Ducati Streetfighter soon.
Hahha, I work at MINI of Des Moines now as a runner or car mover person, and guess what? I had to run a large part today and the parts guys said, yeah take it to the only MINI in the body shop. Sure enough, it was that guy's GP. Not sure what happened, but the body shop guy was ripping parts off left and right. I almost wanted to ask if the guy was willing to sell it.
GP's need love garages... This is 1996's garage.. Not quite finished.. got laid off, so didn't finish floor yet... one day... There is also a pit under the car for a sissor lift. When collapsed, it is flush with the floor.
Having a car that costs between 20 and 40 k does not define anyone as " rich ", especially around L.A .Randy
