How is that an upgrade? You lowered his lumens from the stock bulb and the 6000K bulb is made inferiorly to the Philips OEM bulbs. The xenon gas may be in the wrong spot, the bulb is seated not as precisely on the base, etc. etc. Bluer HIDs are worse looking and crappier output. OEM is best!

I realize this is several years old, but for those looking at bulbs, here is a link to Susquehanna Motorsports (Rallylights.com) who sells the Osram 65w rallye bulbs. Note that they are listing the color temp at 3200k and 2100 lumens. Product numbers of this listing and the listing at Candlepower match, so these are assumed to be the same bulb.

The 65W Rallye bulbs are currently $36 for 2 bulbs at candlepower.

They sound like the bees knees for available halogens. Candlepower seems to have the price locked down.

I put in a 6000k HID system and I love it. So far no one has high beamed me either but I saw another R53 with the same or similar setup as mine and there is some glare. Not sure if his were aimed up higher than mine (stock). But the light output is like night and day vs. the stock halogen bulbs (I couldn't see squat!).
