Clutch/Flywheel replacement

How many owners have had to replace the clutch and/or flywheel with the car still under warranty? Is this a known problem?

Background: Following a cold start where the car has been sitting for a day, the first time I put the car into gear and released the clutch I was getting a grinding sound. This only happened in first gear, only when the car had been sitting, and the frequency of the sound had increased over the last month. As my GP was due for its first service, I informed the SA about what I was hearing and told them not to drive the car until the service date (four days later as I would be on vataction) and then listen for the sound. This morning I receved an email from MoS syaing the clutch/flywheel were being replaced. Of course I am glad this was identified but am concerned about it happening again....and happening on my wife's MCS as the sound has already begun to occur.

Thanks.
