GP to be Dyno Tuned

My GP recently hydrolocked, so I ended up needing a new engine . To cut a long story short, I've had some additional work done at Prestige Mini which will be dyno tuned by Lucky Dog Garage on Tuesday, I hear they are the best around, so I can't wait to see the results of the work that I hear they are capable of.

Sweet!! Well, not about killing the old engine.

But anyway, keep us posted. I'm curious what a good tune will do for a JCW.

Make sure you get before and after dyno sheets. Please post them.

wouldn't the new engine need to be broken in first so that it could be tuned through the whole rpm range

I should have at least 1,000 miles on the new engine when it gets tuned.

I will post the sheets later, the results were not as good as it will end up being once I get the new header & exhaust from LDG. (This will happen soon) With the stock header, 16% pulley, Scheik cam, CAI and Cosworth head the car intially dynoed at 194 whp. Once John had finished setting the engine up it jumped to 208.33 whp, with his new header/steel cat and exhaust the car will be in the 220 whp range. The car runs beatifully now, it is very fast and has incredible torque .
They had previously dynoed a GP, but did not tune it, it produced 170 whp.

Lucky Dog Garage was a great place to hang out and learn so much. I look forward to going back there for the header etc as well as they are going to make my air ducts functional

That's quite the healthy bump in power from a stock GP. Very nice.
