I am finalizing my MCS order today but can not decide on which wheels to get. It is a toss-up between 16" S-Winders or Bridgspoke and the 17" Flame Spoke. I like the 17's but not sure if I want to spend the extra $600. Do the 17's really perform that much better/make that much of a difference?

It really depends on what you plan to do with the car...with the stock runflats on the 17s they are not set up for maximum performance and will give you a slightly harsher ride (almost unnoticeable in the R56, IMO) than the 16's. All in all, the handling difference will be slight. Mostly, I think this is an aesthetic decision; get the ones you like best and you can always go aftermarket in the future.
